Why do you sell your soil by volume and not weight?
Moisture content can make the weight of our soil vary a lot. So if you were to buy a bag that's wetter than another you'd get less soil than is fair.
I bought two bags of your soil, why does one have more in it than the other one?
We measure our soil by filling a 1 litre jug. Then once it's in the bag, we add 'a bit' more to guarantee that there's at least a litre. What varies is how much that 'bit' is.
There is always a minimum of 1 litre in a litre bag of PodBod Soil.
Why is my packaging reused / not perfect?
We reuse clean, safe packaging whenever possible to reduce waste and environmental impact.
The contents of your order are always our priority and they will be packaged with their protection in mind.
Are your products safe for isopods, inverts and clean up crew?
Yes, our products are created and picked with safety and health in mind.
We do not use pesticides or any harmful chemicals. All of our ingredients are carefully selected/ hand mixed and are used by us for our own isopods and invertebrates.
Do you breed isopods?
Yes, we have 25+ breeding colonies of isopods currently.
We primarily keep isopods because we enjoy watching them and caring for them but we also love to provide others with healthy and happy ispods to start their own pod adventures.
Why do natural products sometimes vary in colour or texture?
Natural materials aren't uniform, they may vary from one to the other but that is normal and it doesn't effect quality or safety.
How should I store food and substrate?
We recommend you store your food and substrate in a cool, dry place. Airtight containers are a good idea to keep them fresh and safe from pests and mould.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes, we offer gift wrapping. If you would like to send your order as a gift to someone you have the option of adding gift wrap here. :)
