Why and how they turn up

​

They can come in with untreated bark, wood, or leaves. Some species are small enough to wander into your enclosure by themselves.

Danger level

​

Depending on the species they can prey on your isopods.

Prevention

​

Freezing wood, leaves, and bark can minimise them turning up but there's no 100% way to guarantee you never get one. They do tend to be very rare invaders though.

How to treat them

​

With due consideration to their species in case you get venomous ones by you, you can just catch them and release them outside.
